how long does this takes if the case is taken to family court or how does it work? help me people have no clue about this; like does the judge makes the order to go out right away or does it takes weeks? months? or about how long? and also can it be done in two different places or has to be in the same state?

When I had mine done by court order for my two children, he was in California and I was residing in the UK, when he FINALLY showed up for his test [he failed to go the 1st time, but when the court wrote and told him that if he missed the next appointment then they would assume they where his and proceed as such he showed up] Then the DNA testing center [they where actually based in NC, California sent all their stuff there to be done so no one could say that it was rigged] sent by fedex a package to my house, I had to take it to my doctor have him do the swabs give him pictures of all of us that he also had to sign saying that we was who we said we where and that these where the people he had taken the tests from, my doc in the UK then had to overnight them back to lab in NC for processing…………

So short reply, is yes IF the court agrees and knows in advance they are more than happy to have you test in another place. Start to finish even after he failed to show for the first test date was only about 6 weeks from date of order from the court…………
