I need substantial proof and great information. Can anyone tell me what that rate of divorce between the famous celebs and the average americans are? What my actual question is; is the divorce rate among celebs higher than the divorce rate of average americans? Because in today’s society, in my opinion it seems average Joe’s can stick it out in marriage with more problems than the celebrities can? Anyone who can help me discover this assumption to be true would be terrific help to me!!!

Hi,
Lately I Have been wondering why people divorce eachother…and why there are so many unsuccessful relationships in the west.
I live in India and there are’nt many divorces here..My grandparents have been married for 60 years and are still happy, together.
My parents have been married for 30+ years and am sure they will stay together for the rest of their lives.
I am not saying these marriages are perfect.I have witnessed horrible fights .. But at the end of the day, one of them compromises.
Lately, divorces have become more frequent in India too.
Don’t you think our elders are setting a bad example for us..
I am 23 years old and am allready skeptical about marriage and I am sure a lot of people all over the world feel the same way..
Is there a way we can find a solution to this ??

If the IRS has prosessed the tax returns of one parrent and the other tries to claim them. will the IRS enforce the divorce decree, OR will it be considered a civil matter that the 2nd parrent would have to pursue in court.

I live in Florida and filled for divorce back in April. We have mediation scheduled for the end of September. The problem is I don’t want this divorce to go through, and I know my husband would be willing to work on our marriage. Is there any way to stop this divorce from happening. Or is it to late.

I know both names of the people, and where they live. But I’m not sure on exactly where they would have gotten their divorce, if they even did.
I’m not sure on the county, or anything, but I might have an idea. Either way, what can I do to find out about this divorce? Is there any where online to look up, or any other way? All hope is greatly appreciated!

I have accumulated a nice amount of assets simply by saving and investing. Some of it before I got married, some while married. Now I want to divorce but don’t want her to get half of the funds. We have a joint account that has a little bit of money that I don’t mind splitting with her, but my personal funds I want to hide. There are obviously records of what is in there today, and will be records of any withdrawals I make between now and the divorce. I was thinking about withdrawing the funds, purchasing gold or high valued coins, and storing them in a safety deposit box listed in my mother’s name. During the divorce will I be held accountable for funds that were once in my personal account but are now gone? Does anyone have a better idea on how to move the funds out of my accounts and out of the site of the divorce laywers? PS - she doesn’t know I am planning on divorcing her yet. I want to figure out this money thing first. Please help.

We are both American, and got married in Maryland. Been separated for 8 years and I currently live in Ecuador. She now lives in Virginia. I want to know the fastest - cheapest way to do this as an uncontested divorce.

Can taxes be (forcefully) amended if the divorce decree states that the divorcees file jointly for a specific year, yet one spouse acts quickly and files separately claiming the children anyhow - against the court settlement?
This may be more of a family/divorce court question of the spouse who filed against the decree being in contempt of court or not, and what to do about it. Thank you for reading, any input is appreciated.

I want to file for divorce in Houston but I can’t afford an attorney. We don’t really have any properties in common so we dont have anything to fight for. Do I go to the court and file the documents there?

I am in a very shaky marriage right now. We have talked about filing for divorce at the beginning of next year. In recent weeks however things have taken a turn. We are talking about trying one more time.
Here is the fun part! Last week I received a letter from my landlord that he is not going to renew our lease. Financially I am at a good position to buy a house. However I don’t want to buy a house if my wife is going to end up divorcing me and take it. I also don’t want to sign another 1 or 2 year leases to rent.
So I have to make a decision fast on what to do.
One option is getting a postnuptial contract that would indicate if we devoice the house stays in my possession. The trick would be getting her to sign it.
Another option is to create an LLC Corporation, then buy the house using the LLC Corporation. I don’t think I can have this done in the current time frame.
Well there is my situation, anybody have any suggestions on what I can do?
